In January 2023, Vineyard Offshore submitted a proposal to the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to develop the Excelsior Wind and Liberty Wind projects. With a total capacity of over 2.6 GW, these projects have the potential to power over 1 million homes in New York with clean and affordable energy, avoiding carbon emissions of up to 2.3 million metric tons annually.
