(Queens NYC) – Utility and Infrastructure company Haugland Group, in partnership with William Floyd School District and sports, clean energy, and technology brand Sports Power Clean Energy, hosted over 200 students at Citi Field Stadium in Queens, NYC for the New York Mets 10 – 6 win over the Philadelphia Phillies September 19th. Hours prior to the start of the game, William Floyd High School students learned about the benefits of the clean energy transition, including career exploration of renewable energy through hands-on offshore wind turbine and home energy efficiency projects in addition to a premium fan experience which included savory food concessions and exclusive Citi Field Stadium tours.
Haugland Group, a leading force in New York’s clean energy landscape, highlighted its work on the Sunrise Wind Project, one of the largest offshore wind farms in the state. Through this initiative, Haugland Group is helping to create local jobs and support small business contracting, critical steps in achieving New York’s aggressive clean energy and local content targets.
