Community Heroes Grant Now Open For Applications – Small South Jersey Nonprofits Can Apply Until March 26

Impact 100 SJ is a group of women who work together to help local nonprofits.

As the group believes in the power of giving and wants to make a real difference in the community, they decided to introduce a new grant called the Community Heroes Grant.

The funds are meant to help smaller nonprofits in Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, and Gloucester Counties that do important work but may not be big enough to qualify for larger grants.

Some nonprofits don’t have big budgets, but they still do amazing work helping people, and that’s why the Community Heroes Grant was created.

Unlike the Core Mission Grant, which gives $100,000 to organizations with budgets between $300,000 and $5,000,000, this funding is for groups with budgets under $500,000.

The money is unrestricted, meaning nonprofits can use it in the way that helps them most—whether that’s paying for staff, supplies, or other needs.

To apply, organizations must:

  • Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
  • Serve people in Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, or Gloucester Counties
  • Have an annual budget under $500,000
  • Have filed 990 tax forms for the last two years
  • Not be a political or religious group

Applications are open from January 20, 2025, until March 26, 2025.

Eligible organizations are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to secure funding to help them expand their reach and effectiveness.
