LocalContent.com and Staten Island Industrial Alliance Expand Film & TV Investment and Local Business Opportunities

LocalContent.com and the Staten Island Industrial Alliance (SIIA) announce a partnership connecting creators, contractors, suppliers, and small businesses with film and television investment, procurement, and workforce opportunities through Film Tax Credit Week, July 13–16, 2027.

Based in New Jersey and New York, with workforce and supplier pop-up events in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Houston, Film Tax Credit Week serves the global film and television industry by helping businesses understand local content requirements, strengthen compliance, and pursue economic opportunities through hiring locally, buying locally, and investing locally.

Film tax credits reduce eligible production costs while encouraging local hiring and purchasing. New York State alone reported approximately $4.4 billion in film and television production spending in 2022, highlighting the industry's economic significance.

The partnership creates three opportunities:

1. Film Finance + Investment Pitch Day: Selected creators will pitch film, television, and streaming projects to investors, producers, and industry partners. Applications close May 31, 2027. Selection does not guarantee financing or distribution.

2. Sponsored Marketplace Access: Up to 30 SIIA members can claim complimentary Film Tax Credit Marketplace virtual exhibitor access for the 2026–2027 season by January 30, 2027, connecting with productions, investors, and suppliers.

3. Film & TV Production Location Tour: On March 24, 2027, from 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM, SIIA and LocalContent.com will host a preview of the summer event series. Participants will visit production locations, meet industry professionals, explore supplier opportunities, and learn about New York and New Jersey film tax credits.

“Staten Island businesses have the capabilities to compete for production contracts, create local jobs, and expand opportunities across manufacturing, construction, transportation, and hospitality,” said Nadia Adam, Executive Director of SIIA.

“Film production investment can strengthen commercial real estate demand, activate properties, and generate opportunities for local businesses,” said Christine DeHart, Broker/Owner of Salmon Real Estate and Co-Chair of the 2027 Local Content Film Tax Credit Council.
