LocalContent.com Launches Local Content Intelligence Councils

Global initiative helps professionals and organizations demonstrate readiness to create local jobs, expand small business contracting and deliver measurable community benefits.

As billions of dollars move through public and private infrastructure projects worldwide, regulators, investors and local stakeholders increasingly need to understand who they can trust to deliver meaningful local jobs, small business contrating opporitnteis and community benefits

Across the United States and global markets, professionals working on major infrastructure and economic development initiatives are expected to demonstrate how projects will support local jobs, workforce development, small business contracting, domestic and local suppliers, and community benefit investments. Requirements vary by jurisdiction, funding source and project, making documented readiness increasingly important.

Local Content is the economic value a project or investment creates within the markets and communities where it operates. It can include local workforce participation, supplier spending, small business opportunities and community investment. Domestic Content focuses on where products, materials and components are manufactured or sourced.

To strengthen this ecosystem, LocalContent.com has launched Local Content Intelligence Councils, application-based industry networks connecting market intelligence, compliance readiness, partnerships and opportunities.

Council participants gain three core benefits: document readiness across workforce, supplier and community investment practices; connect with markets, partners and opportunities across the public and private sectors; and build professional authority, including a two-hour onboarding and briefing to complete the Global Local Content Professional (GLCP) credential.
