Brooklyn, NY | Sports Power Infrastructure (SPI) and the Institute for Workforce Advancement (IWA) announced a Strategic Partnership Agreement to expand workforce development, supplier opportunities, and community benefit investment using sports and entertainment. The partnership positions advanced manufacturing as a career and small business contracting path for athletes of all levels seeking education, training, and stable employment in high-growth energy and technology sectors.

Preliminary findings will be presented on Thursday, October 22, from 5pm to 7pm in Brooklyn during National Manufacturing Month, with the full Market Report published in November. Since the CHIPS and Science Act, New York has attracted more than $112 billion in advanced manufacturing investments, while the industry faces 500,000 open jobs today and 2.1 million projected vacancies by 2030.

Sports Power Infrastructure invites qualified nonprofits to become Community Benefit Partners. The SPIN Foundation, through the Sports Power Infrastructure Fund, manages and distributes mini grants to Community Benefit Partners across the three regions for workforce development, training programs, and community engagement.
