New regional partnerships could accelerate hospitality investment, infrastructure development and economic growth across Venezuela.
Venezuela’s hospitality and tourism industry is emerging as a market to watch as new regional partnerships create opportunities for investors, developers and international businesses.
In August 2026, Venezuela and Barbados announced plans for a bilateral tourism agreement designed to increase visitor traffic, expand transportation connections and strengthen commercial cooperation.
The proposed partnership includes multi-destination travel packages, wellness tourism, business matchmaking and hospitality workforce development. Plans for expanded air service connecting Bridgetown, Porlamar and Caracas, alongside maritime cargo routes, could strengthen regional trade and tourism supply chains.
For investors, the opportunity extends beyond hotels and resorts: Six sectors stand to benefit: hospitality development, tourism operations, aviation and maritime transportation, wellness and retail, workforce training, and infrastructure construction.
The countries also plan to convene their first Binational Tourism Meeting in 2027, creating another platform for commercial partnerships.
For Venezuelan businesses, tourism growth could generate new demand for local suppliers, skilled workers and professional services.
The opportunity is clear: turning regional tourism cooperation into sustainable investment, competitive businesses and measurable local economic growth.
