Where We’ve Been
Kickstarting the Fall Season with the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore:
Our team participated in the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore’s Kickstart Event in Farmingdale, where we joined 50+ families for a fun day of activities. These young leaders showed off their technical skills piloting vessels and climbing turbines though Vinci VR offshore wind apps.
Sailing into Highlands: Local Event Highlights Wind Powered Sustainable Sail Freight Transport and Offshore Wind Energy:
AE2 is continuing a unique partnership with Schooner Apollonia, an innovative sailing vessel dedicated to reducing carbon emissions in freight transport. Last week, members of the AE2 team spent time with the crew, local businesses owners, and community members at Bahr’s Landing Marina in Highlands, NJ where the Apollonia was docked for the first time to raise awareness about the ship’s zero-emission cargo transport and how renewable energy sources like offshore wind can integrate with other sustainable practices to help reduce carbon footprints across various sectors. Read more about the event here.
Strengthening Community with IBEW:
Members of the AE2 team were proud to join our friends at IBEW Local 400 for a golf fundraiser to support local scholarships and Monmouth and Ocean charities.
Pounding the Pavement in Neptune for Cancer Research:
Several members of the AE2 team gathered up in Neptune last Saturday to participate in the Pound the Pavement 5K in support of pancreatic cancer research. AE2 team was proud to support this cause, and we thank the Monmouth County Commissioners and the Neptune Township Committee for hosting this incredible event.
