The Maryland Department of Commerce is planning to lead a trade mission to Japan in June 2025 aimed to enhance economic collaboration and expand trade opportunities between Maryland and Japan. The anchor event will be the Japan Health (June 25-27) show held in Osaka during the Health and Wellbeing Week of the World Expo 2025.
The dates of the Mission are June 23-27, 2025. We aim to recruit a limited number of healthcare companies in the below sectors:
- Medical Equipment and Devices
- Laboratory
- Digital Health
- Healthcare IT Systems
- Regenerative Medicine
- Pharmaceuticals
- Nursing Care/Rehabilitation
- Preventive Care
The virtual information sessions will be held 6-7pm, Wednesday, January 22th, featuring

Maryland supports delegates in a number of ways:
- The ExportMD grant to help defray 2/3 of up to $7500 cost on flights, accommodation, and other international marketing fees (a total value of up to $5000).
- Help showcase your products and your international presence.
- Connect you with key decision-makers from government entities, hospitals, dealers, and distributors.
- Opportunities to see Japan business climate outside the trade show.
