We are looking for a unique Program & Community Administrator to help support our educational
programs and community outreach initiatives. This is a junior level position with boundless
opportunities for growth for the right person.
Program Administrator responsibilities include managing the scheduling and coordination of classes and events, acting as the liaison with 3rd party partners, and capturing the data necessary to comply with grant requirements. To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong organizational and
communication skills, as well as experience with using technology applications for project management, research, and social media. We are looking for a creative thinker, flexible, can change gears quickly, and has a passion for our non-profit mission of creating career opportunities for students in underfunded schools and adults in disadvantaged communities.
The IWA runs as a lean startup, with a large network of strategic partners and supporters.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all operations, activities, for each program both internally and externally.
- Attend classes and events as necessary to ensure smooth operations and act as a lab assistant on
occasion. - Be able to speak publicly at events about the IWA.
- Conduct research to be used for program support and grant applications.
- Gather data from partners to feed reporting mechanisms for grant accountability.
- Reschedule or rearrange tasks and projects as necessary.
- Assist in management of relations with vendors or partner organizations.
- Resolve issues to keep programs moving forward.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations for each program.
- Prepare reports on the programs’ status or problems.
Recommend improvements and present ideas for new programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a program coordinator or similar role desirable
- Tech-savvy with working knowledge of time and project/asset management software (e.g., Monday,
- Basecamp, etc.), and MS Office 365
- Comfort with social media posting as it relates to promoting of events and company activities
- Strong organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
- Comfortable speaking publicly
- Analytical thinking
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) helpful
- Some experience in budgeting a plus
- BSc/BA in Business or relevant field of work
- Automobile required
Salary: $40,000 – $55,000 per year plus medical benefits and paid time off. Hybrid work schedule possible. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications
