OCVIBE announced that CHOC is a founding partner for the first-of-its-kind mixed-use district in Anaheim with Phase I scheduled to open in 2026.
Anchored by the iconic Honda Center, home of the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Anaheim Ducks, OCVIBE is reinventing the downtown experience in Orange County by turning 100 acres into an easily accessible, walkable district designed to bring surrounding communities together at the intersection of culture and entertainment.
A long-time partner of the Anaheim Ducks and Honda Center, and an embodiment of non-profit, community care in Orange County, CHOC is a natural fit to partner with OCVIBE on creating new opportunities to spotlight and engage with the electric tapestry of culture that make up the city of Anaheim and surrounding areas.
“Our goal is to work with partners who share our values and support our local community. In that regard, there is perhaps no better partner than CHOC,” said Graham Siderius, Chief Partnerships Officer for OCVIBE, Anaheim Ducks and Honda Center. “We are incredibly proud to continue working with CHOC to enrich the lives and experiences of our local community. We are thrilled to continue our decades long partnership with them with OCVIBE.”
“We look forward to deepening our relationship with the Anaheim Ducks and Honda Center by partnering with OCVIBE to give children and families in the community an exciting space to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories,” says CHOC’s Chief Marketing & Experience Officer Cynthia Neiman. “We also see this relationship as a new way to spotlight CHOC’s vital role in Orange County as the exceptional pediatric healthcare system for all children, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. We are excited by OCVIBE’s potential to spark new ways for OC residents to interact with and support CHOC.”
This expanded partnership with OCVIBE builds on a 17-year relationship between the Anaheim Ducks and CHOC, which has raised funds for Orange County’s only pediatric healthcare system that includes both hospitals in Orange and Mission Viejo, as well multiple primary and specialty care practices across multiple counties.
CHOC’s legacy relationship with the Anaheim Ducks is being celebrated at CHOC Day on Sunday, March 10, when the club faces the New York Islanders at Honda Center (5 p.m.). Highlights will include sales of the fan-favorite limited-edition stuffed Choco bears—CHOC’s beloved mascot—outfitted in custom designed Anaheim Ducks 30th Anniversary jerseys and autographed by Ducks players, as well as an in-game auction featuring Ducks memorabilia and Choco packages. The CHOC Day auction will begin on Sunday, March 10 at noon PT and will close on Monday, March 11 at noon PT. Fans can bid by texting DUCKS to 76278 or visit Ducks.Givesmart.com.
During the game, CHOC patients and physicians will have the opportunity to be a part of in-game elements, such as riding the Zamboni, serving as Honorary Duck, participating in the Honorary Puck Drop, and a recording of patients at CHOC singing the national anthem.
CHOC joins Gallagher—a global insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services firm, and another of OCVIBE’s founding partners—in helping create a greater and more impactful sense of community for Anaheim residents and visitors alike. With significant local presences in Orange County, and a deep appreciation for the vibrant culture, these founding partners embody OCVIBE’s mission to bring people together through shared experiences.
