Local Content x New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) co-hosted Local Content’s popular Lunch + Learn series on November 29th. The series’ sole purpose is to meet local communities where they are to equip residents and business owners with the inner workings of local content requirements within infrastructure sectors such as offshore wind, maritime/ports, and commercial real estate. The event was hosted at local New Jersey-based business Grid Iron Waffle Shop located at 12 S Orange Ave, South Orange, NJ 07079.
Attendees spent the afternoon networking and learning about:
- What is Local Content, and how can local content requirements improve their business/community’s quality of life?
- Attendees also learned about small business opportunities within their own communities, which includes responding to procurement and grant opportunities from local organizations such as New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA)
We’d like to thank Local Content Correspondent and NJAWBO’ Public Policy Leader Robin Tabakin (President, Technoforce) for leading efforts to initiate this collaboration. Make sure you visit NJAWBO’s website to learn about membership opportunities within their organization.
