Staten Island, NY –The Staten Island Industrial Alliance (SIIA) and Local Content have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at enhancing efforts in small business contracting, job creation, and community benefit investments within the NYC borough of Staten Island. The partnership will focus on improving infrastructure development local and domestic content measurement, reporting and compliance. Local Content compliance supports Staten Island’s small businesses and improves residents’ quality of life from industries such as offshore wind, construction, manufacturing, transportation and maritime/ports.
The MOU’s key objectives include:
- Project Reporting and Transparency: Implementing enhanced tools to ensure clear reporting and accountability of development projects local content requirements for local stakeholders on Staten Island.
- Facilitating Small Business Market Entry: Creating pathways for Staten Island’s small businesses to enter high-growth sectors, supported by targeted programs and multi-state collaborations.
- Data-Driven Taxpayer Sentiment Reporting: Leveraging data analytics to inform stakeholder engagement and public sentiment on development projects to better align with Staten Island stakeholder needs and wants along side industries development project goals.
- Increasing Communication of Staten Island Small Business Capabilities: Elevating the visibility of local Staten Island businesses to demonstrate their capabilities to larger projects and industries.

- Local Content + Domestic Content Week | February 17 – 25, 2025: Taking place at various locations nationally, elevating the projects, places, and people leading local and domestic content efforts across various industries.
