Local Content Announces Film Tax Credits Week 2027 to Connect Workforce, Suppliers, and Investment

Newark, NJ — Local Content announced today the 2027 Film Tax Credits Week, scheduled for July 13–15, 2027, across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The initiative focuses on attracting TV/film investment while advancing workforce and supplier readiness connected to local content requirements. Film Tax Credits Week connects workforce and supplier organizations with governments, film commissions, and productions required to hire local, buy local, and invest local across global markets.

Film tax credits require productions to hire local workers, purchase from local suppliers, and invest in local infrastructure. Yet many workers and suppliers lack direct access to TV/film production opportunities. Film Tax Credits Week provides networking, education, and marketplace access to help close this gap.

Starting on World Television Day, November 21, 2026, Local Content will publish monthly interviews with professionals and companies. Interviews connect participants with production leaders and film commission directors while providing year-round Marketplace access.

Film Tax Credits Week includes a virtual year-round Marketplace, Workforce and Supplier Masterclass, featured Tax Credits and Incentives Solution Providers, TV/film themed Hospitality and Tourism and Manufacturing and Energy Tour, business development receptions, sports and real estate development roundtable, AI/Intellectual Property education, Creators and Makers Night, and Local Content Film Tax Credit List.

The Local Content Film Tax Credit List is now accepting nominations across six categories:

Best Film Commissions | Best Places for Film Production | Best Film Production Crew + Labor Provider | Best Visual Effects (VFX) Studio | Best Equipment Rental + Production Services | Best Set Construction + Design Partner

This year’s Local Content Film Tax Credits Council is co-chaired by Christine DeHart, Broker/Owner of Salmon Real Estate, and Terance Eldridge, Founder and CEO of TS Safety Solutions, bringing perspectives from real estate, small business, workforce, safety, and supplier development.

“We've seen the TV/film industry impact residential and commercial real estate,” said DeHart. “Local content requirements create employment, supplier contracts, and regional investment. Film Tax Credits Week connects these opportunities.”

“Small businesses across every industry can win production work,” said Eldridge. “Adding the TV/film industry to our energy and construction services created significant revenue and represents opportunity for other small businesses.”

Film Tax Credits Week welcomes suppliers, VFX studios, manufacturers, film commissions, production companies, investors, and economic development leaders. A free Film Tax Credits Week Pass provides year-round Marketplace access, programming registration, List voting, and educational resources.
