LocalContent.com and The SPIN Foundation Launch TV/Film Workforce + Supplier Readiness Program

‍New program combines assessment and readiness training with specialized industry training to help workers find the right career pathway and businesses compete for production opportunities.

LocalContent.com, in partnership with The SPIN Foundation, announced the launch of Local Content TV/Film Workforce + Supplier Readiness, a flexible workforce and supplier development program designed to turn film and television investment into local jobs, contracts and economic opportunity.

The program is offered virtually or in person for groups of 20 or more and can be delivered in two formats: as a standalone one day intensive or in partnership with specialized industry training providers for expanded technical instruction.

The program begins with individual and business assessments designed to identify participants’ strengths, talents, experience, readiness and areas for development. The SPIN Foundation’s broader workforce model already connects participants with employment, education, training, certifications and career pathways.    Pasted text

That information creates a clearer roadmap before participants enter specialized training, helping better align people with the occupations, skills and opportunities that fit their capabilities and goals.

For expanded programs, LocalContent.com and The SPIN Foundation can collaborate with qualified industry partners providing specialized training in areas such as Grip/Electric, Carpentry, Editing, Production Accounting, Hair, Makeup, Costume and other production crafts.

The model creates two pathways: Workforce: Get Hired and Suppliers: Win Contracts. Workforce participants receive assessment, industry education, career readiness and connections to employment pathways. Businesses receive assessment, supplier readiness, procurement education and connections to production opportunities.

By combining assessment + readiness + specialized training + industry connections, the program is designed to reduce training misalignment and provide participants with a clearer path from their existing strengths to relevant film and television opportunities.
